CLEARWATER, Fla. – For the second consecutive year, the Nova Southeastern men and women's swim teams claimed the Sunshine State Conference championship crowns. With a total of 997.5 points, the women's team routed all other teams by at least 200 points while the men's team took first with 876 points. With 80 total points and two conference records,
Courtney DeVeny repeats as the Female Swimmer of the Meet.

TOP PERFORMERS:
- Franco Lupoli earned his second gold of the weekend in the 1650 freestyle, finishing with a meet-record time of 15:23.94.
- Courtney DeVeny earned her fifth gold medal of the weekend with a win in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:57.73.
- Malin Westman earned her second individual gold of the weekend with a time of 2:15.59.
- The women's 400 freestyle relay consisting of Sydney Panzarino, Jordan Shows, Emma Sundstedt and Jenna Johns set multiple records with their winning time of 3:21.16. This time not only signifies a provisional time, but an SSC, championship meet and NSU record.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- DeVeny earned the first spot in the 200 backstroke with a B-Cut time of 2:00.02.
- Westman also took first in the 200 breaststroke with a B-Cut time of 2:16.19.
- Adan Diaz grabbed first in the 200 breaststroke prelims with his time of 1:59.52.
UP NEXT:
The Sharks will continue to prepare for their postseason run, and will travel to Greensboro, N.C. to compete in the 2018 Div. II NCAA National Championships.
